VINEYARDS

Szabo Vineyards is a small, family-owned operation that produces wines made exclusively from grapes grown on our estate in Nevada City, California.  We pride ourselves on the hand-crafted quality of our wines and believe that they owe their quality to the care we invest in our vineyard.

Our sustainable farming practices have enabled us to keep pesticide use to a minimum and to make soil erosion nonexistent, which is quite a feat for a mountainside vineyard.  In 2005 Alex Szabo was named Conservationist of the Year by the Natural Resources Conservation Service of Nevada County for his viticulture practices and stewardship of the land.

If you are looking for fruit-forward wines that have boldness and intensity without being dominated by oak, you should give our wines a try.  Our hand-crafted varietals are distinguished by the exceptional quality of our fruit and the singular attention to detail that we lavish on their production.  We believe that our wines offer superior quality at a reasonable price.
